Rio Las Vegas is an attractive and clean resort just off “The Strip” offering many dining and shopping options. They advertise no resort fees but take money from you, anyway. This hotel is not on the strip, has slow turn around for shuttles and only has shuttle service until 1:00 am. Customer service was rude to me when I called to question them about the charge, as well. In the past, I have only had hotels keep an imprint of my card in case of incidentals but never charge my card for them and hold on to my money, for a week, to gain interest. It has been five days, and so far, no money has been credited to my account. I called the Rio and was told that it was a charge for incidentals and that it would be credited back to my within 5-7 business days. When I returned home I noticed a $100 charge to my bank account and called my bank only to find out that it was a charge from the Rio.
I chose to stay at this hotel because they claimed there were no resort fees.
